How we write about health

Everything published on this site follows the standards below. We're putting them in writing because our audience has been marketed at enough, and because health content should tell you who's behind it.

Who writes our content

Articles are written by the Corivo editorial team, people who work on this product every day and write about the parts of it they actually know: how the membership works, what things cost, how telehealth is regulated, and how to shop this category without getting burned.

We write in plain English on purpose. When a clinical or insurance term is unavoidable, we translate it in the same sentence.

When a clinician reviews our work

We sort our content into two lanes.

Consumer and process content, like pricing breakdowns, how our membership works, benefits and insurance mechanics, and guides to evaluating telehealth programs, is written and fact-checked by the editorial team. These articles make no clinical claims, and keeping them that way is an explicit standard we check before publishing.

Clinical content, meaning anything about how medications work, side effects, eligibility criteria, nutrition, or health outcomes, is reviewed by a licensed physician before publication and labeled with the reviewer's name and credentials. If an article doesn't carry a named medical reviewer, that's because it's in the first lane, not because we skipped the step.

What we will never publish

No promised outcomes, weight-loss numbers, or timelines. No before-and-after imagery. No body-shaming framing. No urgency mechanics, countdown timers, or manufactured scarcity. No fabricated testimonials, reviews, or statistics. If a claim can't be sourced or experienced firsthand, it doesn't go in.

Where our information comes from

Factual claims come from primary sources: regulators, state medical and pharmacy boards, plan documents, and our own operations. We describe our own process from direct knowledge, and we don't speculate about competitors; we give you the questions to ask them instead.

Our relationships, disclosed

Corivo Health is a marketing umbrella. All medical services are delivered by licensed, independent providers through contracted third-party telehealth partners, and eligibility for any medication is decided solely by those providers. Coaching services are powered by Concorde Health, a partner company we pay for that service. We accept no payment from pharmaceutical manufacturers for any content, and nothing on this site is sponsored.

Our content exists to help you evaluate weight care, including ours. We think Corivo compares well when you ask hard questions, which is why our articles keep handing you hard questions.

Nothing here is medical advice

Our articles are general education. They can't account for your health history, and they're not a substitute for a licensed provider's judgment. Decisions about medication and treatment belong with you and your provider.

Corrections

If we got something wrong, tell us at editorial@corivohealth.com and we'll review it promptly. Material corrections are made in the article and noted at the bottom of the page. We'd rather be corrected than be wrong in public.
